GCX Artist Alley Information
All artists, interested in purchasing an artist alley table for Geeks of Color Expo, are required to fill out this online form below completely. Artist will be chosen by Jury selection. This is ONLY a table request form. It is not a contract and does not guarantee you a table. All Artist Alley space is limited. If accepted, you will be sent an invoice. In order to reserve your table, you will need to remit payment within seven (7) days upon receipt. Failure to do so will forfeit your application and the next person/artist in line will gain access. You will have to reapply to get your name back on the waiting list.
All Artist Alley tables are $100 and include one 6′ x 2′ table, two chairs, and two badges. Additional AA badges can be purchased at $35 each.
Artist Alley applications are for one table only. You cannot extend over multiple tables in GCX’s Artist Alley. Our AA is located in the pre-function area of the Main Events and Vendors Room (please refer to diagram coming soon). Tables do not include electricity, but you may order it through Exhibitions. Boxed lunches are provided to artists and included in the price. If selected you will be able to choose which lunch option you’d like to receive for the days requested.
Merchandise must be primarily paper goods. A small number of other items such as T-shirts, pin, and totes are permissible so long as they do not represent the majority of items for sale at the table (must be less than 30% of items for sale). The Artist Alley is curated, so having current examples of your artwork available on your website or portfolio links will help us evaluate your application during the process. Only the artist submitting this form, if accepted, is approved to exhibit at the table during the event. Sharing is allowed and limited, but both artists must submit an application for approval AND be present throughout the duration of the weekend.
Artist Alley Displays
Table displays must be no more than 5 ft from the tabletop or 8 ft from the floor, whichever is lesser, with displays facing in.
Displays must be freestanding.
No displays may obstruct the views of other artists.
You may NOT raise your table.
No rolling racks, shelving or other display items will be allowed behind artist tables.
Please be respectful of the space surrounding other artist and GCX guests.
